How
Disengaged came to be
It makes perfect sense to me: Disengaging allows the batteries to
recharge. When the batteries are full, you hit the ground running.
If it works in business and personal development, it should work
for your health and wellness too.
And
it does.
I
developed this program for a couple of reasons. One, those relentless
pressures were getting to me. I soon found less and less time to
take care of myself. I was getting soft, feeling sluggish and looking
the part. That's not acceptable as the owner of a fitness center.
Second,
as a business owner I needed a program that held me accountable,
provided the results I needed and in the timeframe I had available,
and was efficient.
The
relentless pressures forced tough decisions in my schedule and the
first thing squeezed was my workouts. As days turned into weeks
and weeks into months, I was determined not to let months turn into
years. I didn't like how I was starting to feel, look or how my
clothes fit.
So
I made change priority one. But where to start? I hardly had time
for what I was supposed to do - let alone re-starting a daily, 60-minute
workout. I was so drained, I just wanted to sit down when I got
home. A better way existed; I just had to find it.
Determined,
I pored through 100's of scientific articles on exercise, metabolism,
body composition, rest and recovery. I took careful notes along
the way and soon noticed a suprising trend. It was squarely against
years of formal education and work experience. I went over my notes
repeatedly, but over and over, I came to the same conclusion.
Was
subscribing to the dogma a complete waste of time? The research
I just devoured said maybe, and I was confused. Intrigued by the
findings and determined to change, I meticulously designed a program
and served as my own case study.
Over
the next two months, I diligently followed my new program and tracked
the results. My results confirmed the research. I couldn't believe
in less than 60 days, I dropped 18 pounds, melted down to 11% bodyfat,
and lost 3 inches in my waist. In one word, I was amazed. Beyond
measurables, I felt stronger, had more energy and was less stressed.
I had the energy and stamina to work the 10- or 12-hour days (sometimes
longer) and still had the ability to get on the floor and play with
my kids when I get home.
So

I used my own experience and research in developing it. As a business
owner, I needed something that held me accountable, was time efficient

Evaluation
Our evaluation will assess your overall health and fitness. We start
with a complete Medical History and then ask about your goals. Next,
we'll put you through several tests to determine your current fitness
